Randy contacted Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair having problems with water draining out from the crawl space of the home and he wanted to see what could be done to fix the issue in the crawl space. Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair inspector RJ Bailey found that Randy's problems where coming from water entering the crawl space of the home from the outer walls of the foundation. Our crew lead by Ricky Warren installed our EZ Flow Waterproofing System that we are able to catch the water and pump it out of the crawl space with our SmartSump Sump Pump System before it causes more problems in the crawl space of the home. Randy is happy that he chose Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair for making sure that water cant enter the crawl space from the foundation walls again.
Water is diverted away from the foundation using a downspout and LawnScape Outlet by directing rainwater from the roof through the downspout, which then channels it to the LawnScape Outlet. The LawnScape Outlet, typically placed at the end of the downspout, allows water to flow away from the foundation, preventing water accumulation and potential damage.
While many homeowners do not access their crawl space regularly or use it for storage, what happens in this space can have a large impact on the rest of the home.
If you have a vented crawl space, you can count on 40% of the air in your home coming from your crawl space. Anything in that air -- including mold spores, odors, and humidity -- is all brought up into your home.
Cleaning your crawl space will eliminate a highly significant source of allergens in your home, while also creating a healthier environment.
Penny contacted Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair because of water entering the basement of the home, she wanted the rotted wood replaced and the basement waterproofed so that they would not have any more water in the basement of the home. Southeast Foundation's inspector Ben Daniels met with Penny and found that the basement was flooding where the wall and floor met. Our crew installed the DryTrak Waterproofing System around the perimeter of the basement along with replacing the old sump pump system with the SuperSump Sump Pump System. Penny is thrilled with the out come of her basement in Kinston, NC.
