This crack is right in the corner of the concrete foundation.
A trench in the concrete floor is opened up to expose footing and gravel bed.
The Cleanout box can be troublesome in homes with high water. Omni Basement Systems adds a feedline to the new sump.
The pumps are installed and the battery back up connected. The floor can be restored.
Ontario building code now requires a sealed lid on the sump pump.
The fill creates a bulb of influence which will distribute the weight within the entire pit of gravel
Some home owners believe they can merely paint a wall and waterproof it.
There is an engineered base for the Smartjacks. it starts with a hole below the floor which is 2'x2'x2' hole. The hole is then filled with fresh gravel which is tamped down every few inches. THe 1'x1' plate is set on top of the gravel.
