Facing a cold a moist basement, a homeowner in Mississauga called us for help. During the inspection, our specialist explained that this excess humidity result from water infiltration, meaning that the existing drain was not performant. In addition, the cold is resulting in higher energy bills as the HVAC systems are working more to compensate the low temperature. As a remedy, we installed our highly effective WaterGuard internal drainage system, which will channel all the infiltrated water to the discharge line and far from the home. In addition, we put in place SilverGlo pannels as thermal insulation. Same will regulate the temperature fluctuation and thus lower the energy bills. The basement is now safe and ready to be finished.

Our client Mr. Esposito was having issues with his Mississauga home. There was humidity in the northwest corner of his house and some water infiltration in the spring, he suspected it had something to do with his uninsulated crawl space. While searching the internet for a solution, he came across our website and filled out our form. We promptly gave him a call and offered him a free inspection and quote. Upon inspecting the problematic areas in the home, our specialist Thanusyan decided the best plan would be to encapsulate the crawl space with CleanSpace® Crawl Space Vapor Barrier and CleanSpace® Crawl Space Drainage Matting System in order to keep out the humidity and water infiltration. The CleanSpace® Crawl Space Vapor Barrier reduces moisture, seals out winter drafts, and is versatile for walls and floors. With a durable 20mil thickness, 7-layer polyethylene composition, and polyester cord reinforcement, it works for both basement and crawl space walls. The CleanSpace® Crawl Space Drainage Matting comprises a dimpled drainage matting system strategically crafted to gather water from the crawl space floor and guide it towards a sump pump and the surrounding perimeter drainage pipe. Mr. Esposito agreed with this proposition, and we booked a time to complete the installation. Our foreman Colin then went to Mississauga at the scheduled time and installed all agreed components. His crawl space fully waterproofed, Mr. Esposito no longer has to worry about humidity coming from his crawl space or water infiltration. Another job well done by our Basement Systems Toronto team.
