This home had an old sump pump, but it couldn't handle the water leaks. Water leaked through in other spots of the basement and waterproof paint wasn't a long term solution. To solve the issue fully, they called up John's Waterproofing so the issue could be addressed fully and water issues would be a thing of the past.
We came out to this home and did a full cleanspace encapsulation system, taking this wet and nasty crawlspace and making it look good as new.
This Crawlspaces old sump pump had been a DIY tutorial job, and while it might have worked with a small amount of water, it was unable to withstand the water this home faced, causing it to overflow and cover the vapor barrier that was present. We upgraded this system with a perimeter perforated pipe system, a TripleSafe sump pump, and a new vapor barrier.
This home's sump pump had been installed by the homeowner but with a pump that had been purchased at a hardware store. While this can work out, this crawlspace had more water than this pump could handle. To ensure the system could keep up with the water, we updated this to a TripleSafe sump pump with a CleanSpace vapor barrier and spray foam on the walls.
The homeowner was over having to replace and reattach fiberglass insulation in their crawlspace. After doing research online they learned about crawlspace encapsulation and were eager to learn more. They spoke with a Design Specialist, and moved forward. They are pleased with how bright the crawlspace is and saw savings quickly!
