Problem

We received a call from Mr. Danny regarding complications with his crawlspace. Our specialist, Alain, visited Mr. Danny at his home in Wickham for a free inspection and estimation. The signs of problems were obvious within the crawlspace: An unpleasant smell, moldy walls, and a constant sense of humidity. Solution

Our team of workers began the renovation work. They encapsulated the crawlspace using our excellent CleanSpace system. This system includes: 

- A drainage membrane that improves water drainage. The honeycomb surface helps transport water to the perimeter drainage. Additionally, this drainage matting softens the soil and increases the durability of the encapsulation system. 

- A vapor barrier that protects the crawlspace against condensation, which occurs when warm air comes into contact with cool surfaces. The crawlspace vapor barrier also prevents groundwater infiltration from evaporating into the air. 

Furthermore, we installed our high-performance SaniDry™ dehumidifier, which automatically maintains the ideal humidity level. Controlling the crawlspace's humidity helps prevent mold growth, wood rot, and pest infestations.

Solution

The WaterWatch alarm, which is part of this drain, could help identify potential plumbing leaks. They then installed a layer of the CleanSpace vapor barrier over the drainage membrane. This product was created as a super durable plastic sheet that will permanently prevent moisture, outside air, and pests from entering the crawlspace.
