Peggy and James J. have lived in Camden, SC all their lives and have owned their home there for many years. It is the home they will pass along to their children and where they plan to stay. There are not many aspects of the home that ever bothered Peggy except for the floor in the master bathroom. The floor just seemed to keep sinking until there was a large gap between the floor and the baseboard. This gap bothered her until she finally decided to call Cantey Foundation Specialists and schedule an inspection. Cantey is a company located in her hometown and she trusted that they would give her an honest scope of the work that needed to be done. System Design Specialist Kory Sanders arrived for the appointment and did a thorough inspection of the crawl space. Afterward, he sat down with Peggy and James to discuss a plan he had drawn up. Cantey's SmartJack system would provide the extra support needed to lift and stabilize the floor of the bathroom. He explained that the system would start with holes that would be filled with engineered gravel. This would be a solid base that would not sink over time like soil. Then a metal plate would be installed on top of the gravel and a metal beam would be installed over the existing wooden beams. A SmartJack would then be secured to the top beam and the bottom plate. Once the SmartJack is level, it is then adjusted to create the lift that the floor above needs. Peggy and James believed in this solution and wanted it done quickly. Production Crew Leader Aubrey McJunkin, Production Crew Member Francisco Lopez, and Production Crew Member Phillip Sullivan came out and effectively installed the SmartJack system. Peggy and James no longer have that pesky gap in their bathroom and they have since referred several of their friends to Cantey.
Steve T. of Chapin, South Carolina had a fairly large stair-step crack along the exterior of his home, and he was worried that his foundation was compromised. After seeing the Cantey trucks travelling around his area, he called Cantey for a free estimate. System Design Specialist John Adams was sent to Steve's home, and John explained to customer Steve that the crack was a product of his home settling into the soil, which would become a major foundation issue if not corrected right away. Shortly after, Production Crew Foreman Ryan Shirley installed a single helical pier and a single push piers, which lifted and permanently stabilized Steve's home!
Tommy K. of Chapin, SC wanted to protect his largest investment... his home. He noticed that a wall in his kitchen was beginning to separate and crack, which was a major sign of settlement. Knowing this was a foundation problem, he called Cantey Foundation Specialists for a free estimate. System Design Specialist James Davis explained to Tommy that because his crawl space support beams were made out of concrete cylinder blocks and spaced incorrectly, the floor was beginning to sag bringing the kitchen wall with it. Cantey's solution to Tommy's problems was to install four SmartJacks under the kitchen wall and replacing the wooden beam for a more structurally sound crawl space. The SmartJacks lifted and stabilized Tommy's kitchen walls and floors permanently!
Brian M. of Chapin, SC could not stand the eyesore of cracks in his concrete slab driveway, and he also began to notice some settling around his pool deck. After seeing a PolyLevel and Nexus Pro commercial on WLTX, Brian decided it was time to receive a free estimate from Cantey Foundation Specialists. System Design Specialist Alex Lovette inspected the questionable areas, and he agreed that the PolyLevel and Nexus Pro could not only lift and stabilize his pool deck and driveway, but also fill the eyesore cracks. PolyLevel Foreman Ryan McPherson and his crew finished the job shortly after in only half a day! Now, Brian can enjoy his pool deck and driveway all year round.
