Comment: Water in basement

Comment: We have some water seeping through our block foundation on the addition of our home and into the basement.

Comment: I recently bought this house with cinder block basement, there is/was poor drainage around the foundation. It has a metal roof with not many gutters. Due to a slight slope of the hill and all the heavy rain the "uphill" side will seep water through the cracks. The previous owner did a terrible job patching that are starting to fail in two spots. There is a drain under the floor and the floor has a drain channel along the uphill wall leading to a sump. Without rain its fine, but it will gets wet when it rains.

Comment: Damp house, especially basement. It's a raised ranch at the bottom of a hill. We have had half of the outside walls resealed and changed the driveway but we still have moisture. I've also sealed the interior wall on one of the corners but that has failed. Last year we had water back up into the basement and have a lot of it torn out. I'm at the point that I want to start putting it back together but not when it's damp from the outside water still. I need someone who can tell us the best way to fix the problem for good and reasonable prices. I don't want the moisture to even have a chance to hit the outside walls of the house. Is there a plastic wrap for the outside walls or something? I'd love to get your take on things.
