This Falls Church VA crawl space was in a bad way. The duct work running through it was compromised, falling down and leading to poor performance for the heating and cooling of the home and rooms above. The existing insulation was not doing its job, leading to cold floors above. There was excessive uncontrolled moisture in the crawl space due to open air vents which was creating poor air quality for the homeowners. We fixed it! Our production team helped correct the duct system issues, insulated the walls of the crawl space including sealing up the air vents to eliminate dust and outside allergens from entering. Spray foam insulation was used to seal several areas. Finally they covered the floors and foundation support with Clean Space. This is a now a controlled environment delivering better home performance to the owners. Eliminating the moisture and humidity now makes this space useful for storage if needed.
We helped turn this wet and nasty crawl space into a clean, dry environment which will improve the air quality for the homeowners living in the spaces above. clean space on the floors and walls with a leak detector and Sedona Sani Dry dehumidifier. This would also help to better control the temperature in the crawl space and lead to more comfortable floors above in the winter and summer.

One of the most important steps in any crawl space projects, is the last step. That step is closing the door or access point to the crawl space to keep it sealed off and safe from outdoor air and temperatures. Closing off vents and covering the walls of a crawl space is almost useless if the door or access point to the crawl space isnt properly sealed and continues to allow dust, allergens and moisture to come inside. We offer this great Everlast Door as a solution. Here we replaced an old, dry rotting wooden door that has clear signs of many tears of weather exposure, for an Everlast Door made from long lasting materials that will not rust, rot or decay. With multiple latching points, the Everlast Door helps create the tightest seal possible.
