The before photo shows how a home’s foundation has settled. Resulting in the homeowner’s fireplace starting to pull away from the house. To correct this problem, we used our Push Pier System and our PolyLevel solution. As shown in the after photo the fireplace is no longer separating from the and is now properly supported to prevent future problems.
Push piers by Foundation Supportworks, Inc, are made of steel and are driven deep into the soil bedrock or another stable soil layer. Push piers are installed on the exterior of the home, and can also be installed on the interior, the piers in these photos have been installed on the exterior. Push piers can provide an opportunity to lift your home back toward its original position, often times closing any cracks that have formed and also improving the operation of doors and windows.
The Before Picture is a Support Post that needs to be reinforced.
The After Picture has a Post Cap attached to strengthen the connection between the Support Post and the Floor Joists.
