 A homeowner in Middlebury was getting water seepage in their basement. They reached out to us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a solution. We sent out one of our Sales Consultants, Mick Foster, to the home to assess the problems and propose a full perimeter waterproofing solution. 

Soon after it would be time for one of our Foremen, Al Guglielmoni, and his team to install this entire project. They installed our WaterGuard drainage system below the floor, around the entire perimeter of the basement to capture water coming in from the walls or floors. Then they installed our TripleSafe sump pump to take that collected water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. Our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to eliminate moisture and prevent mold growth.

This Total Basement Finishing Job was completed in Milford, CT. This remodel created a new, dry, waterproofed space for the kids to play in. Not only did we add flooring, new lights, wall panels, but we made these stairs safer and more aesthetically appealing.

Before, this basement window was clearly inefficient with cracks along the edges to allow air and moisture. The homeowners had even tried to cover the air leaks with a flimsy piece of cardboard as a last resort. They knew that an upgrade to their windows were a must. When a basement window has an insufficient window well, it can cause a lot of obstruction with dirt and debris. This obstruction can deter light from entering the basement and it is unappealing to look at from the outside. The homeowner wanted to install a window well that would protect their brand new windows. Connecticut Basement Systems was more than happy to provide a solution.

The solution was to install a Sun House window well. Our Sun House window well is superior compared to others because it is made from a durable, high-strength plastic that will never rust, deteriorate or require painting. The solid base keeps the well clean and prevents weeds from growing on the window well floor. This is exactly what the homeowner wanted and the difference is incredible! 

This Milford basement had mold on the walls caused by excessive moisture in the area. This is unhealthy and concerned the homeowner greatly. He wanted a permanent solution to ensure that his basement would be dry and healthy no matter how much it rained. After doing his research, he decided to work with the experts at Connecticut Basement Systems.  

The solution for this basement was to first address the mold problem. Mold X2 was the solution for the current mold. This product is applied to the contaminated surface and removes the mold. However, in order to truly prevent mold from growing back, the basement must stay dry. The solution for this was to install a SaniDry Sedona and BrightWall panels. The SaniDry Sedona is a dehumidifier that will keep the basement humidity below 55% which will make the air healthier and prevent mold. BrightWall panels were installed to prevent air and moisture from seeping through the walls. Not only is this product practical, but it gives the basement a fresh, clean look.
