When you are getting water in your crawlspace and you think the old rusted door might be a part of the problem, you need a solution fast. The Turtl is the absolute best way to get in and out of your crawlspace. It stopped water and air from entering the doorway better than any other product. This crawlspace in Trappe, MD did not have an access door, making it susceptible to moisture and critters gaining access to the crawlspace. We installed an EverLast crawlspace access door that is made of plastic, which will never rot or allow water and critters to enter the crawlspace. This results in a dry, healthy crawlspace that may be used for many purposes, including storage. 

Many homes have debris in the crawlspace. Its usually old wood, chunks of concrete, and insulation. Aside from being unsightly, they are a problem when installing our CleanSpace liner. In these photos you can see how much better it looks after the clean up.

When the vents in your crawlspace are "closed" they are still  open. The fact is, open vents are a bad idea in the first place. All they do is let damp, wet air into the crawlspace and that leads to rot and mold. DryZone blocks and seals vents with a thick foam board (the same insulation we use to make the floors warmer).  Sealing the crawlspace will lead to better air quality throughout the house and will cut down on the moisture and damp conditions that breed mold and invite critters and insects.

This crawl space needed lots of TLC. After DryZone encapsulated it, it looks great.
