A homeowner in Charleston, SC contacted our team at Lowcountry Foundation Repair after the crawl space flooded during hurricane Ian. After a thorough inspection of the crawl space by one of our system design specialists, our team installed a CleanSpace Encapsulation System customized to the needs of the home. An encapsulation can act as a barrier to reduce humidity, but our system also has measures to aid the drainage of water, then it pumps that water out and away from the crawl space. This solution will help pump out water that enters during heavy rain or an event like hurricane Ian.

To prevent moisture damage and keep this customer's crawl space healthy and dry, we sealed the space with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System.

To keep this customers crawl space dry all the time we installed our CleanSpace Drainage Matting paired with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System. Our CleanSpace drainage matting works by creating a space between the dirt floor and the CleanSpace vapor barrier, allowing water to flow freely to a sump pump or drainage system. This prevents water from being trapped and reduces moisture buildup, enhancing the effectiveness of the vapor barrier in keeping the crawl space dry.
