Wet Bricks in the Basement in Mount Vernon, IN

In Mount Vernon, IN, a homeowner contacted us concerning her basement. The basement's brick walls, especially on the corner where her sump pump was located, were wet. Although her basement was not flooding after steady rainfall, there was still water that was in contact with the basement's environment. This will disrupt the environment and cause humidity and mold to form. The homeowner was ready to turn her dark, humid and uninviting space into a bright and safe place to store items/hang out in.

To prevent water from future destruction to the walls, CleanSpace is laid alongside the walls. CleanSpace protects against water vapor that would cause the air in the basement to become humid. A SuperSump is put in to replace the old one the homeowner had. The SuperSump has an iron pump that will last long and pump water fast. Since the air in the basement was humid, a SaniDry Sedona empties itself being hooked up near the SuperSump that will empty water outside and away from the house.

Moisture Barrier for a Crawl Space in Evansville, IN

In Evansville, IN, a homeowner found water in his crawl space and decided it was time to waterproof it before it became a bigger problem in the future. The crawl space's floor consisted of small pebbles and water puddles. The water sitting in the crawl space and the humidity created a musty smell in his house. If the issue was not dealt with, over time mold will develop. It was urgent to get his home back to smelling great and his home healthier!

A dimple matting is placed over the pebbles to provide protection for the CleanSpace that is installed next. If dimple mating was not used, then the pebbles would have made small punctures in the CleanSpace liner over time if someone were to go down and move around. A SmartSump pump is installed to pump away water that enters the crawl space and carries it away from the home. A SaniDry Sedona is hooked up to create a dry airflow throughout the space. The homeowner was relieved to not have a musty smell in his home anymore.

Water Puddles in a Basement in Booneville, IN

A homeowner in Booneville, IN, began to be concerned about the safety and quality of his storage items when he found water on the bottoms of the cardboard boxes. A few of his cardboard boxes contained priceless items that needed to be kept safe and away from water. The homeowner contacted us in hopes of solving his dilemma. Not only does water cause damage to items, but it also affects the energy it takes to heat and cool a space. It was costing the homeowner more to heat his home due to water causing humidity in the basement.

To control the flow of water that entered into the basement, a small trench was formed for the WaterGuard to be set into. The WaterGuard system allows water to enter the guard from the walls and then flow to the sump pump. The sump pump will then pump water out and away from the home. CleanSpace was installed alongside the sides of the walls to protect the space from water vapor. CleanSpace allows the water that escapes inside through the walls, to flow directly down to the WaterGuard system. This basement waterproofing technique successfully kept the basement dry and the homeowner pleasantly satisfied.

Moldy Basement in Vincennes, IN

In Vincennes, IN, a homeowner's basement had water leaking into the basement, and was humid. When moisture and humidity are mixed, mold can form. Mold needs four things to grow such as spores seeds of mold), food (organic material, water, or high humidity), and temperatures between 32 degrees and 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Preventing mold involves controlling molds' signature element to survival - water. There are two forms of water that mold can access to survive, such as visible water and relative humidity. The homeowner was ready to transform their space into a livable one!

There are two ways to reduce the relative humidity such as heating the air or taking water out of it (dehumidifying). The basement needed a dehumidifier such as the SaniDry Sedona that would create a constant dry airflow throughout the space. CleanSpace is sealed along the walls to protect against water vapor. When water does come through the walls, it will be directed to the flow and into the WaterGuard system. The WaterGuard system collects water from the walls and will bring it to the sump pump. TripeSafe sump pump was the best option for this home. The transformation was outstanding and the homeowner thought so too.

Nasty Crawl Space in Haubstadt, IN

Haubstadt, IN, had been receiving a good amount of rain, causing a homeowner to reach out to us regarding still water on the crawl space ground. The water mixed with humidity had caused mold spores to spread on the wooden beams of the ceiling. If this is not taken care of soon, then the mold can eventually spread to the home's rooms and cause allergies for the homeowners. To prevent mold from spreading, water needs to be eliminated from the crawl space's floor. The homeowner was ready to take the next step of creating a healthy home.

To eliminate the mold, there needs to be a system set in place for water to leave the crawl space. A SmartSump was the best solution! The SmartSump includes a quality, sturdy cast iron pump that lasts longer than plastic pumps. CleanSpace is laid across the crawl space to completely seal off the space from the outdoor air. This will create an "indoor" environment that makes it safe to store items in the crawl space. Once the space is sealed and mold remediation is performed, the SaniDry Sedona is hooked up to create a constant dry airflow throughout the space. The homeowner was pleased to find a bright clean space that was mold-free.
