Crawlspace Clean-up in Elkton, MD

This customer was interested in fixing up her dirt floor crawlspace. The space was very humid and there were beginning signs of mold present. We started here by removing all the old insulation and treating the mold with Mold X2. Next, we installed our SmartPipe crawlspace drain system and connected it to a SmartSump pump system. These two systems work together to discharge any incoming water that would otherwise collect and flood the crawlspace. Next, we installed SilverGlo insulated wall panels and added spray foam to the rim joists to create a more energy-efficient space. Lastly, we installed our CleanSpace Liner and vent covers.

Wilmington Delaware - Comprehensive Basement and Crawl Space Transformation

When we first visited this Wilmington, Delaware home, it was clear the basement and crawl space had endured years of moisture issues. The crawl space would flood during heavy rains, leaving behind dampness and musty odors that affected the whole house. In the basement, the walls were beginning to show signs of strain, with visible cracks from the pressure of the surrounding soil. The homeowner had already installed a sump pump, but it wasn’t able to keep up with the persistent water intrusion. Mold had even started to form on the walls, adding to their concerns about air quality and the long-term health of the structure.

To tackle these issues comprehensively, we installed a CleanSpace encapsulation system in the crawl space, creating a strong, durable barrier that prevents outside moisture from getting in. The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was also installed to regulate humidity levels and keep the air dry, which is essential for preventing future mold growth. For the mold that was already present, we applied our specialized Mold-X treatment to ensure a clean and healthy environment.

In the basement, we reinforced the walls with CarbonArmor wall straps. These high-strength, carbon fiber straps are designed to prevent any further cracking or bowing, adding much-needed stability to the foundation walls. With the walls secured, the homeowner could feel confident that their basement would stay protected against pressure from outside soil and moisture.

By the end of the project, the homeowner felt a huge sense of relief, knowing their basement and crawl space were finally dry, clean, and stable. The difference was night and day—the basement felt secure, and the crawl space was transformed into a cleaner, healthier area. This project gave them a renewed peace of mind and confidence that their home was protected for years to come.
