This project in Parkton, MD included a Triple Safe sump pump with battery Back-up, WaterGuard drainage system, and Thermal wall vapor barrier.
This customer contacted us looking to waterproof her basement as well as upgrade her sump pump to a newer system with an airtight lid and a battery-powered backup. We chose to offer her the Supersump System. This system features the Zoeller M63 1/3 HP pump, capable of pumping 2,650 gallons per hour, a Waterwatch Alarm System that sounds off if the water rises above the point where the pump should turn on, the Superliner basin and an airtight lid. This system also features a CleanPump Stand, which serves to elevate the the pump from any silt or sediment that may build up at the bottom of the basin. For the battery backup we installed the Ultrasump 4, which features an automatic switching system to keep your basement dry in case of a power outage, main pump failure, tripped breaker or simply an unplugged main pump.
To further waterproof her basement this customer also chose our Waterguard French Drain System and our Cleanspace Wall Liner, which is a 100% waterproof plastic barrier that helps guide any water seepage down to the drainage system.
This customer was looking for help improving her dirt floor crawlspace. The space had a strong musty odor and there were definite signs of mold growth. We recommended a crawlspace encapsulation system with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier. First, we started by regrading the ground to redirect any water seepage towards her sump system. Then we removed the old insulation and treated the entire area with our Mold X2 cleaner and botanical. In place of the old insulation we installed our SilverGlo insulated wall panels and RimTight spray foam. Finally, we lined the floor in Cleanspace drainage matting and our Cleanspace liner. This crawlspace is now safer, healthier and more energy efficient.
