We had water seepage in our basement despite having drain tile installed. The job that Complete Basement Systems came to do in January was 5 star work all around. With the amount of snow was had this winter we were worried that if we didn't fix this problem, it would continue to get worse. We are looking forward to a successful test of the waterproofing system for years to come.

We have owned our home for 12 years and we noticed water coming in from the floor and wall. Our sump pump needed upgrading because it just wasn't doing the job. We wanted results and we knew Complete Basement Systems had done great work with other homes in Charles City.

We heard of Complete Basement Systems through a referral from a friend. We had two sump pumps installed by them one month before the 7"-10" of rain hit. Had we not had those put in, we would still be mopping up the basement.

I felt like you were knowledgeable as to our particular issues and the sales rep, Eric, was a comfortable person & available for any questions we had. What was your main concern going into your basement project (whether with our company, your basement, both)? Our basement had leaked since we bought the house in 1991 so we were hoping this fix would work!  What made you decide to choose us? We researched possible solutions to the problems and contacted some people that we knew that had your company do work for them.  We got positive reviews from everyone we talked to.  Also, the rep that did our estimate listened to what we had to say about our specific problems and addressed all of our concerns.  He added lateral drainage when we explained the typical places the water would come in so we were really covered. What did you find as a result of going with our company (as opposed to someone else)? We had a very professional organization that knows what they’re doing and works very hard to make sure they solve the problem.  Your solution worked to keep our basement dry and that is what we expected and received! Is there anything specific that stood out about our company or what did you find were our strengths in any stage of the process, from the first call to the end result? Customer satisfaction was a very high priority.  They realized they were in someone’s home not just a work project site so even though this is a very invasive project they took extreme care to make sure things were kept clean and the dust issue mitigated as much as possible.  They gave us progress updates and kept us informed. Would you recommend us? If so, what would you tell them about us? Yes, we already have!  Your staff from start to finish worked very hard to solve our basement water problem.  We had the work done in 2010 and didn’t have any big rains until 2014 so had to wait a long time to see if it was really going to work but it did.  After the recent big rains we’ve had many homes in area had water in their basements at least twice in one week.  We were dry and so excited!  No more worries for us when the big rain storms hit.  We don’t have to have people check our basement if we happen to be out of town when it rains.  We can’t say thank you enough! What did you notice as the biggest improvements for you after the project was done? Well it took 4 years to get the big rain to test our project but the biggest improvement is that it is now dry when we get big rains!  We also purchased a Sani Dry dehumidifier for our basement and had it discharged directly into the Waterguard system.  We love it. It keeps the whole basement humidity level down and the maintenance free aspect of it and never having to dump the buckets of water. Is there anything else you’d like to add? We have a multi-level house. Our lowest level is our basement. The initial work that was done in 2009 we were very pleased with. So of course we called again this year to do the second half. They crew hooked the current sump pump up with the WaterGuard system and other sump being installed. They also installed a white wall material (CleanSpace) over the block walls. This has all been 100% effective. No water in our basement since 2009. I also like the white walls now- very bright. In 2009, they suggested installing a second system in our family room, but we decided to wait. However, water kept coming in that room and we couldn't fix it with gradaing, so we called Complete again in May of this year. They came out right away because we were previous customers with them! They are awesome! Ryan, the sales rep, came on time, was very pleasant and knowledgable, and made great suggestions but was not pushy. He is the best! The work crew came on time as well, finished on time, was respectable, and protected our home as they did the work. The cleanup job was just as good.

My basement was ALWAYS wet. The system I had wasn't working. With the work that Complete Basement Systems did, so far my basement has stayed dry, even with the wet spring we had.

This is the second time I have had your company do work, great experience again. The wall repair appears good. Nick, an installer, was polite, informative & seems to genuinely care about his job.
