David and Michelle's Rome, NY home had a major wet basement problem. When they bought their house waterproofing the basement was something on their list. But time got away from them and they never got around to fixing it. Finally one day after seeing our TV commercial Michelle decided to call. Our team installed our basement waterproofing system called water guard. This waterproofing system captures the water and the sump pump gets the water out.
David and Michelle wanted to upgrade their sump. Now they can sleep with peace of mind knowing water isn't going to be a problem anymore. We call this a Sump Pump upgrade!
Water in your basement? Cracks in your foundation? Leaky foundation walls? Call Woodford - we can help! Woodford Bros., Inc. specializes in basement waterproofing, foundation repair, concrete leveling, Barn Restoration, and radon mitigation.
Founded in 1962, Woodford's original focus was foundation and barns. Now, we do basement waterproofing, concrete leveling, radon mitigation, and basement finishing. That's why Tom and Mike got the name "Basement Brothers." Modeled after Tom and Mike, Honesty and hard work are at the heart of what we do. Our headquarters is in Apulia Station, outside of Tully, NY. We serve all of Central New York, including Syracuse, Rochester, Binghamton, Oswego, Ithaca, and Auburn.
Kelly's new home was perfect for her but there were some issues with the foundation. When the home was constructed part of the footer was not below the frost line. This can create problems caused by the freeze/thaw cycle. When the soil surrounding the footer is saturated with water in the colder seasons it is liable to freeze. Since water expands when it freezes it causes frost heave which has great potential to damage the home's foundation. Our solution to this problem is to excavate that part of the foundation, install specially engineered drainage called EZ Flow then install a completely inorganic insulation material called Silverglo that will prevent that part of the footer from being exposed to the damage-inducing ice. The soil is then placed back against the house so that it can be reseeded. Kelly now has peace of mind that her foundation is protected from the ever-present force of nature that is frost heave.
Tom has been living in his Andes, NY home for three years. Since purchasing the home he has wanted to encapsulate the crawlspace area to create a more usable, insulated space, so he decided to contact Woodford Bros. for a free estimate for the necessary repairs. After an initial inspection, our Design Specialist determined that the CleanSpace system and SaniDry Sedona would be the optimal solutions for Tom's crawlspace.
The CleanSpace system is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier, it is durable, washable, and has anti-microbial protection called UltraFresh built right in. CleanSpace is pliable enough to cover uneven surfaces and irregular walls, including areas with large rocks or similar obstacles. In addition, the SaniDry Sedona is a high-performance dehumidifier and filtration system that eliminates damp, musty odors by drying and filtering the air. With these two systems in place, Tom can have a dry, usable crawlspace permanently.
To ensure professional installation and superior service we carefully created an international network of over 350 trusted basement contractors.
