Get a free estimateJay thought digging out the 4x4 deck posts would be a problem so he had a supervisor come the next day who recommended a retaining wall should be temporarily removed at additional cost. This appeared to both me and my wife an attempt to increase the project cost, especially since the two other estimates we had did not recommend removing the wall.
Tess was great.
Samir didn't recommend the retaining wall should be temporarily removed for the deck posts and a compromise was made. Actually, 6x6 posts were used instead of 4x4 extenders at no extra cost, so that was a plus.
After the job was done, I contacted Jay about a spot on the retaining wall that wasn't patched and he called me the next day to say he'd take care of it the next time he had a job in the area. Tarps should be provided for crews to protect floors and flower beds. It's a seasonal cottage so the water was turned off a few days before the end of the project and made clean up harder., The crew cleaned up the best they could, but tarps over the floors and myrtle beds would have helped greatly.
You specialize in foundation repair and your price was competitive. Samir was very thorough and professional. According to Samir, another estimator showed up on his own to help who had more experience in summer camp work. I can't remember his name, maybe Eric? You also made an effort to get the job done before the winter snow came since it is a seasonal camp.
