Greg has a home with a poured foundation wall that has some serious cracking. The concern is that it may be structural related.
Omni Basement Systems used our very own Carbon Armor system from Supportworks to strengthen the wall so it will not tip in or bow.
The Carbon Armor are 7" wide Carbon fiber strips that are epoxied to the wall. Also there are carbon armor straps that lock the wall to the floor joist system via the rim joist.
Sara in New Hamburg has a home with a badly bowing wall. She hired Omni Basement Systems to straighten this wall and also have some waterproofing done.
Chris has a home in Caledonia, ON that is settling because of poor soil conditions. Alessio along with a P.Eng designed a system usung our Push Piers from Supportworks.
the Push piers are large brackets that are attached to the fondation and galvanized steel tubes are push through them until they reach a specified soil density that will better support the home. Once all the piers are supported properly, hydraulic jacks can lift a house back into position. In this case, it lifted the house an full inch in some areas.
The pictures below shows the step cracks, which are tell tale signs of a settling foundation, being closed up. NO mortor was used on these cracks

Tristen in Hamilton, On had a crawlspace with lots of moisture issues. The joists were sagging and there was mold growing on them.
This was caused by a bare dirt crawlspace floor that was constantly releasing moisture into the air envelope of the crawlspace. Old way of thinking was to to simply vent the crawlspace to "air it out". After years and tears of studies, this was found to be untrue. The best way to prevent the moisture is to seal the ground from the air envelope. Make this space a part of the home. Now the air can be dehumidified and storage space can be gained. Because of the damage that was already done to the floor joists above, a Supplemental Beam and SmartJacks from Supportworks were installed. Voila, the crawlspace has been transformed.
To ensure professional installation and superior service we carefully created an international network of over 350 trusted basement contractors.
