We had two projects scheduled. Crawl space NuWal, and piers stabilization for block foundation.
Communication from your office was sketchy. Big stretch between August 2021 down payment and ball park April 2022 work date was not a problem for us and we requested updates be messaged to us at about two week intervals. However being updated was inconsistent. Long time periods between contact. WE had to track answers with phone tag. At one point, the April ball park date was extended to September, which would have been ONE YEAR and A MONTH after down payment had been made. We could not work with that, and the April date for scheduling was finalized.
Then the surprise of rescheduling the crawl space project three weeks even earlier was very much appreciated.
Kevin Wyles. He "sold" us on choosing Terra Firma. Good videos, confident of the product. He showed the product to be the sensible choice rather than patching a failing cement foundation. We cancelled the received estimates and upcoming appointments with other contacts. There were six others, locally.
We had two project managers, consecutively:
Nikki followed by Jessika
Equally friendly; knowledgeable about the product and process; informative as to when crews and geologist were scheduled to be on our property, and the process each would be performing.
Slow to initiate updates about the general scope of the projects; we had to initiate communication for the results of the geology report; we had to initiate communication about the permits being issued, etc.
We had requested updates at regular 2 week intervals, but when 2 months passed by without a phone message or e-mail, we wondered about the integrity of the company to whom we had given our down payment money.
It all worked out, we are confident that we made a sound decision to hire Terra Firma.
Keenan, Ricky and Roberto for the pier stabilization project....
Rocky, Michael, Oscar, Alex, and Jose for the NuWal project in the crawl space.
ALL crew members are happy, informative of what is happening, work extremely well with each other, and they hustle...make best use of each minute as a team and when working individually. Excellent communication between crew members.
Excellent.
A lot of dirt/mud removed from planter boxes and placed thoughtfully on heavy black plastic. All mud replaced into planters, and happy to report that includes the weeds, side of house washed completely clean of mud splatter and handprints. Dedicated crew for sure: Torrential rain, thick mud, high winds and extreme cold on the day of the piers project.
The Nu-Wall project in the crawl space was left immaculate clean. all scraps of construction product, the cement bags, etc. completely cleared out. Awkward, dirty/dusty area to work in, yet when the job was complete, the dirt was left clean, flat and smooth. Unbelievable that 5 persons had been working there. When leaving, the crew repaired lawn and spread grass seed on an area that needed to be driven on due to the trucks needing a wide turn.
Both of the Terra Firma crews gave outstanding attention to detail.
What type of work did you have done:
Foundation Repair
What made you choose our company:
Kevin Wiles showed up. He has a great video presentation to share the KNOWLEDGE of why YOUR product and process works. He was free of comparing Terra Firma products and process to any other company. Kevin is resolute about the product and stayed on subject of why the NuWall and the Piers Stbilizaton are a sound solution to our home's failing concrete and sinking foundation.
