We are buying an old house (1934) and need more space in the crawl space for plumbing and electrical repairs. I believe there is around 12-18" of space currently and we would like to get another 6-12" (if possible), but not under the entire house. The house is 30' long by 25' deep but we only need an area around 5' wide by 25' long dug out. All plumbing is concentrated in a fairly narrow zone We would also like a quote on what it would cost to add and repair 6-8 supports to the beams. Thanks for you help.

Overall, it is in good shape with no mold or moisture problems, however, the vapor is poor shapeIt may be better to insulate walls and install better vapor barrier and use vents during warmer part of year.
