PROBLEM

Persistent humidity in the basement is causing unpleasant odors, and mold stains are beginning to appear. Structural issues may arise if no action is taken in the near future.

SOLUTION

As planned, we began by installing the WaterGuard drainage system. The drain is placed on the foundation footing, away from mud and dirt to prevent clogging. Infiltrated water will be directly captured by the drain, thanks to the protruding lip that directs water from the walls directly into the system. Next, we installed our SuperSump sump pump system. This system features a reliable and high-performance 1/3 HP Zoeller cast iron pump, a pump liner, a sealed lid, a CleanPump support, and a WaterWatch alarm. Finally, we connected our interior drain to a discharge line that will lead water outside. This discharge line includes our patented IceGuard system, designed to prevent the risk of flooding in case the line freezes during cold periods.

A client residing in Saint-Georges-De-Windsor, Quebec, was facing alarming issues within his basement. In fact, there were multiple cracks visible from the inside, as well as water infiltrations. Client had also an old sump pump which was clearly inadequate. In addition, the excess humidity has resulted in the joists being weakened, thus compromising the house's foundation. This sump in East Hereford was not doing its job since at each great rain the water ended above the slab of this basement.

We have replaced this old pump with our SuperSump pump and this basement is now completely waterproofed!

This pump has a hermetically closed system (no moisture that emerges), which installs with a floor drain and an alarm system.
