The residents of this house in Gatineau suffered from a very high level of humidity, caused by a non-isolated crawl space.

They have also noticed that the floor was sagging which caused them a deep concern.

As you can see in this picture, we have totally encapsulated the crawl space and the foundation.

This client had cracks repaired in one wall of his block foundation, but had not repaired all of the walls. Over time, one of the walls will start to arch and tilt inward from the basement. If nothing will be done, the situation will only get worse. So, he contacted Systèmes sous-sol Québec in order to stabilize his wall once and for all!

The crawl space was damp and very poorly insulated. The floor were sagging and needed support.

Solution:

•Installation of the SilverGlo to enclose the air outside the house

• Application of an urethane foam to insulate the crawl space

• Installation of a drainage membrane and a CleanSpace to isolate the house from the earth and make the crawl space cleaner.

• Installation of a SmartJack to support the house.

One of the most common complaints of old-house owners is sagging floors.
