WaterGaurd Job done in Martin, GA

This is yet another home with a basement with a roll up garage door in Martin, GA that had water seeping into it. This is another prime example of hydrostatic pressure forcing water through the walls of basements. The homeowner this property called us at All-Dry of the Carolinas where we sent out our system design specialist, Johnathan Geddie  to check out the problem. Once Jonathan got to the home he saw that water had been seeping through the walls of the basement. This basement needed a combination of WaterGuard, BrightWall, a UltraSump and a SuperSump pump to take care of their problem. The WaterGuard is connected to the SuperSump pump so any water can be drained into it. The sump pump will flush the water out once it reaches a certain spot. When the sump pump flushes the water, it goes through a piping system and through the LawnScape outlet where the water flows into the yard away from the home.

Drainage system and SmartSump added to crawlspace in Anderson, SC

When water comes into your crawlspace there are several different ways to remove the water. In this crawlspace in Anderson, SC, water was flooding in during heavy rains.  In the “before” picture you see a bare crawlspace with a trench dug around the perimeter. This trench was made to fit in our 3 inch drain tile. This draining system is three inches in diameter and is placed under the soil. Whenever water tries to enter the crawlspace again, the water will enter the draining system and be guided to the SmartSump pump to be flushed from the crawlspace. The “after” picture shows the draining system anchored down by rocks and leading to the SmartSump.

Basement in Anderson, SC Waterproofed with WaterGuard Drain and CleanSpace Liner

Unfortunately, there are many basements that are plagued with water intrusion. There are a number of different ways that this water may be getting into the basement, but we know of one surefire way of keeping it out! Our systems have been installed in thousands of homes and these homeowners have been pleased at the results! While we hate that many homes are dealing with these issues, we are glad that we can provide a solution to them!

This homeowner was having some serious water intrusion in their basement, enough that some of the wood making up the stairs was beginning to deteriorate. The homeowner called knowing that this could certainly be a serious issue. Our System Design Specialist was able to diagnose the problems that were going on in the basement, and provide the perfect solution for the home.

The after picture gives a great view of some of the work that was done in the basement of this Anderson, SC home. The two biggest things were the installation of the CleanSpace liner and the WaterGuard, which cannot be seen well in this photo. The CleanSpace was installed along the walls of the basement in order to help catch and bring the water to the WaterGuard that was installed. WaterGuard is a drain that was installed along the perimeter of the basement floor in order to catch any and all water that was coming through.

TrenchDrain Installation in Eastanollee, GA

The home was having issues with water getting into the basement, which was causing the homeowner a lot of headaches. One of the main places that the water was getting into the basement from was the door leading into the basement. This is a pretty common issue that homeowners have and we often have to put a TrenchDrain in front of the doors, which is exactly what the case was with this basement.

In the "before" picture you can see the open door where a lot of the water was getting into the basement. The door wasn't getting a proper seal, and since it was below the ground level, the water was easily getting into the basement. While there were other areas in the basement with water intrusion issues, this one was the most severe and caused the most problems during heavy rains.

The "after" photo showed how we were able to help out with the problem. Although it may look like we only put a small drain in, we actually did more than that and it's harder to notice if you weren't paying attention to the first photo. Our crew actually took out that last concrete step and graded the yard in front of the door. That by itself is a pretty significant improvement because now the water doesn't have a path to run directly to the door to pour down on it. The other thing we did though was the TrenchDrain. This drain goes right in front of the door so that any water that does actually get into the basement is immediately caught and drains to the sump pump.

CleanSpace in Eastonolle, GA crawlspace

When it comes to your crawlspace, protecting it from moister is very important. In this home the crawlspace was taking on large amounts of moister. Not only was moister the problem, but the crawlspace was littered with debris, trash, and an old liner.  To solve this problem, our All-Dry of the Carolinas team encapsulated the entire crawlspace.

As you can see in the before picture, the crawlspace floor is covered with dirt and it looks as if the opening in the wall might be a challenger to wrap in CleanSpace. But it is obvious in the after picture that wrapping that area wasn’t a problem for our All-Dry of the Carolinas Team!
