This customer was referred to us by his father who also had a crawl space encapsulation completed by Olympic Restoration Systems. After hearing how we were able to help his father resolve many issues in his home related to crawl space moisture problems, he was concerned that his home may have similar issues. We sent one of our System Designs Specialists, Ross, to the home to complete a free crawl space estimate.

After assessing the crawl space, Ross found evidence of moisture issues. He proposed a solution to encapsulating the crawl space to the homeowner and the homeowner accepted. We sent our production team to complete the crawl space repair, which included placing a drainage matting, CleanSpace vapor barrier, SmartSump sump pump, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.

There was moisture and high humidity in their crawl space. The was very interested in a finding out about a crawlspace encapsulation to regulate the humidity and moisture to prevent damage to their home.

Per the customer - this is a small 980 square foot house that they just built last summer out in the country on a 2.5% sloping elevation. They have a concrete perimeter with concrete down the center with 12" joists. The problem that they were having, is the ground under the house is dirt without a barrier. In spite of the ventilation around the perimeter of their new home, they were finding that moisture was getting trapped beneath the house. Water was dripping off of the joists near the middle of the house and some of the plywood was already soft, after only a year. They were needing, and looking for, a solution to fix the moisture and high humidity problem, permanently, and maintain a dry environment underneath their house. They were very interested in a finding out about a crawlspace encapsulation to regulate the humidity and moisture to prevent further damage to their home.

This family had moved into their newly built home. They were having water issues in their crawlspace. Their crawlspace was very wet, all over, and they had water pooling in many areas. The owner of this property called because the home failed inspection after the inspector was unable to crawl through the crawl space. The crawl space was too wet and had faulty insulation that was falling off of the floor joists. We sent one of our System Designs Specialists, Ross, to the property for a free crawl space inspection and estimate. Ross found many moisture issues in the crawl space and proposed a full crawl space encapsulation system. The system included installing a drainage matting, vapor barrier, sump pump, and dehumidifier, and closing off all outside air to the crawl space. This would make the crawl space a conditioned area, and prevent further moisture issues. The owner was pleased and proceeded with the crawl space repair from Olympic Restoration Systems.
