This 1865 home with permeable fieldstone foundation and dirt floor suffers from seasonal flooding, resulting in the space being unusable for over 10 years. The homeowners were looking to expand the storage area in their home and the first place they turned was their damp basement. 

Northern Basement Systems provided them with a FREE estimate and project proposal to keep their basement dry year-round, making it much cleaner to allow them to use the space as storage without the fear of damage to their belongings. 

Our team proposed and installed a drainage system with a SmartSump Pump and an UltraSump Battery Back-up pump. With these pumps in place, the space will stay dry through heavy rain, spring thaw, power outages, pump failure and more! The floors and walls of this basement were also encapsulated with our CleanSpace encapsulation system to prevent both water and humidity from entering the space via the foundation wall. The space also lacked insulation causing cold floors in the home above, so our team used a closed-cell polyurethane spray foam in the rim joist area to prevent cold air and moisture from entering. Additionally, Northern Basements recommended a SaniDry Dehumidifier to reduce humidity in the space and banish that gross, musty basement smell.

When a Strafford, Vermont, homeowner wanted to rid their home of water entering the basement, they hired the waterproofing experts at Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems.

In Lebanon, New Hampshire, Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems turned an annoying wet basement into a permanently drive, useable space.  Northern Basement Systems installed a Full Perimeter WaterGuard System, to collect any water.  The WaterGuard will then take the water to the newly installed SuperSump Pump.  The Super SumpPump will then pump the water out of the basement, away from the house down an IceGuard Discharge Line.  

A homeowner reached out to Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems looking for a solution to water entering the front of their garage.  After a FREE ESTIMATE from one of Matt highly trained System Design Specialist, the homeowner hired Matt Clark's Northern Basement Systems.  Matt's team installed WaterGuard Perimeter Drainage along the front of the garage with a TrenchDrain at the garage entrances.  TheTrenchDrains, paired with the waterguard, will collect any of the water trying to get in the garage and take it to the newly installed SuperSump Pump.  The homeowner also bought a state-of-the-art SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.  The Sedona will keep the garage at a perfect 55% humidity.  The Sedona also has a discharge hose that goes directly into the basin of the SuperSump Sump Pump.  The SuperSump will take any water, from both the WaterGuard and Sedona Dehumidifier and pump it out of the garage away from the home.  The home owner now has a safe, useable garage.
