What have we done in this house?
-Insulation was repaired to keep the house with minimal energy loss properly.
-Super Sump Pump was installed to help with water issues in the crawlspace
-Mould killer was sprayed to kill affected areas that were showing signs of mold
The daycare facility experienced a water leakage issue, prompting the implementation of effective measures. Trench work was undertaken to divert and contain the water, complemented by the installation of a sump pump to efficiently eliminate excess water and ensure a dry and secure environment.
The client was looking to have some or all of my crawlspace thoroughly cleaned and set up for a more accessible arrangement of storage shelves.
We start by installing a strong moisture barrier in your crawl space, and carefully sealing it around the footings, piers, and foundation walls to keep moisture out. If there’s insulation, we make sure the barrier fits snugly in front of it for maximum protection. We also wrap the bottoms of the piers to prevent moisture buildup.
To help manage any water seepage, we add a durable drainage mat underneath the moisture barrier and up the walls, giving the space a rougher surface that’s great for storing items and adding long-lasting durability. Any old, rotted 2x4 supports are replaced to ensure your structure is stable.
Next, we install high-quality, foil-faced insulation along the walls, sealing all the seams so no air or moisture can get through. We also treat all wood surfaces with a specialized mould prevention solution to keep your crawl space fresh and healthy. Finally, we remove old insulation from the floor joist area, making sure everything stays clean and dry.
This comprehensive approach keeps your crawl space dry, energy-efficient, and protected, creating a healthier environment for your home.
