This homeowner was getting water into his basement again and didn't want it to ruin his furniture or storage area. He had waterproofing done before, but wanted his remaining areas of his basement waterproofed. He called Midwest and System Design Specialist, Elliot Christians, came out to meet with them. After an inspection, Elliot proposed we use a full height of CleanSpace and WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement. CleanSpace is used as a barrier between the wall and basement. It is a very sturdy tarp like material that is very hard to tear. If water comes through the walls through cracks or joints, it will trickle down the CleanSpace and into the WaterGuard. WaterGuard is our drainage system that will then flow the water into the sump pump and out of the home at a safe distance. Great thing about interior waterproofing is when any water finds its way in, it redirects it back out of the home, so you can still have a fully finished basement! Check out the before and after photos of this project!
This homeowner was tired of moisture on her basement walls making her basement look dirty. She has used our company for years, so she gave us a call.
We sent Service Technician Braydon Aker to inspect the walls and determine the reason why moisture was on the walls so that he could give the best solution for this problem. Braydon found that moisture was coming in through the concrete blocks leaving efflorescence and water stains which made the walls look dirty. To give the homeowner a clean look in addition to trapping all of the moisture behind the wall, Braydon installed a CleanSpace Basement Wall Vapor Barrier to protect the homeowner's walls.
The homeowner was so happy with how clean the product looks. Check out her new wall vapor barrier!
Crawl spaces left unattended can slowly deteriorate. Mold growth, bug and spider infestation, moisture, and odors develop and increase over time.
Cleaning up and fully encapulating the crawl space is the safest and healthiest way to not only improve the space itself, but to improve the air quality in the rooms and floors above.
This homeowner was worried about mosquitoes and mold in her moldy, wet crawlspace. She was also concerned about her children because the mold and high humidity are associated with harmful allergens. She had heard of our services and she wanted us to give her a permanent solution for her home to be dry and with low humidity.
We sent System Design Specialist Kevin French to inspect the crawlspace and determine what was causing the mold and mosquitoes to live there. Kevin found that the crawlspace was completely wet and that the AC condenser line was dripping into the middle of the crawlspace without any drainage system. The water was just sitting there, causing the crawlspace to be wet, and the humidity to grow mold quickly. Our team wanted to protect this homeowner's home right away, so we sent a crew to start encapsulating her crawlspace. Our team utilized CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to encapsulate and protect the home from moisture, a sump pump with a proper discharge pipe to bring water away from the home, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to bring down the humidity level and purify the air.
The homeowner was so happy with the way everything turned out and he was very appreciative of all the things the crew was able to do for him. Check out his newly encapsulated crawlspace!
