This homeowner from Westerly, RI wanted to improve the air quality in his basement. The air felt humid, which can cause mold to grow onto any organic material, such as the wood supporting the floor above! If that wood were to be overtaken by mold, a structural collapse could occur, severely injuring anybody living there. To give this homeowner an everlasting peace of mind, our production crew covered the interior walls with CleanSpace wall vapor barrier to prevent the outside moisture from coming in. Lastly, they hooked up a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to dry out the humid air which greatly increased the air quality!
In this photo, you will notice that water is leaking from the walls, damaging them and causing puddling on the CleanSpace below.
In the second photo you will see newly installed SilverGlo wall panels. They are two inches thick and provide water-resistance. They also act as insulation due to being infused with graphite powder to reflect heat.
Crawlspace Encapsulation in North Grosvenordale, CT
This basement in Putnam, CT was very damp from all of the outside moisture getting in through the walls. To lower the humidity, our team encapsulated the interior walls with CleanSpace Wall vapor barrier. This durable white liner protects basements and crawl spaces from moisture intrusion to improve the air quality!
This sump pump in Ashaway, RI was not strong enough to push water out the basement during several rainstorms. This resulted in some water puddling up in the basement which is not healthy in terms of the amount of moisture getting in. We knew that replacing this pump with our SuperSump premier sump pump system would be very effective for this homeowner. We also attached an UltraSump backup battery pump to turn on if there ever was a power shortage, which can happen a lot during rainstorms.
