Edward wanted to install an Egress window into his basement and chose us at Ayers Basement Systems. Our crew conducted an inspection, determined where the window would be going, and got the necessary tools for the installation. The installation went smoothly, and Edward was thrilled with the final result! 

Jesse and Linda wanted to turn their basement into a finished basement space. So they called our team and we installed an egress window and well. Egress windows provide a safe exit in case of emergency so they are required in finished basement living areas. In addition to having a safe exit in your basement, these windows provide lots of natural light. Lastly, most windows offer minimal protection against outside air entering the home due to poor insulation around the window. Laurie worried about the water pooling on her basement floor. After researching her options online, she called Ayers to learn about our waterproofing solutions. We sent a team of experts to visit her home and examine the basement to recommend a solution. They decided to install the TripleSafe sump pump, which includes three pumps designed to react to pump failure. The system contains a primary and backup pump but also has a third, battery-powered pump in case of power outages. Laurie is relieved she doesn't have to worry about her pump failing again!

Lucas from Grass Lake, MI was having water issues in his basement. Michael's unfinished basement was running into water intrusion issues during rains where the wall and floor met. He decided he needed to call Ayers for our waterproofing solutions. Our customer care team set an appointment with Michael for our crew to inspect his home. From the inspection, our System Design Specialists recommended that we install the WaterGuard System we provide. This is a subfloor drainage system that collects water leaking in through the walls. We hook this system to the sump pump so the water is directed here rather than on his floor. The drain is placed along the perimeter of the basement, resting in a bed of drainage stone and on top of the footing of the foundation to prevent clogging. Lastly, it is concealed with concrete to blend with the space. Michael will no longer need to stress about water damage!
