A homeowner from Mason, Michigan, was seeking a solution for their home. A large crack had formed within a foundation wall, and it appeared to worsen. Luckily, no water was leaking into the basement, but the homeowner wanted to fix it before it declined, so he contacted Ayers. After an inspection, the team at Ayers concluded that FlexiSpan System would seal and fix the problem! After the crack in the wall was filled with a sealant, a wall covering was screwed into place on the wall. If any water leaks through the foundation, it will flow behind the FlexiSpan wall and directly to the homeowner's sump pump!
Vickie decided she needed a waterproofing job for her basement to ensure her home stays dry so she gave Ayers a call. After we conducted a free inspection at her home it was settled that our WaterGuard System and TripleSafe Sump Pump System would do the trick. The WaterGuard System will collect water or dirt that seeps into her basement through the walls as it is placed along the basement's perimeter below the floor. It will also be concealed with concrete so that it will blend in when it dries. Next we hooked this system to TripleSafe which is where the water will be directed to as this has three pumps that ensure water stays out!
This home on a lake in Vicksburg started to experience water in the finished basement when the water level began to rise. The carpet in their living space was soaked with water and needed to be removed— the homeowners knew that they never wanted to have this happen again. After installing a waterproofing system, they chose to replace their floors with a more durable alternative, ThermalDry flooring. The ThermalDry flooring Systems are the only inorganic subfloors in the world, making them resistant to water and mold. The floor comes in titles that sit on pegs which slightly raise them off the floor, so in the case that any water enters the basement, it can flow underneath the tiles to the perimeter waterproofing system. Not only is ThermalDry a smart choice, but the tiles come in a variety of colors and styles, like the wood ones shown in this after photo.
Dara called our team because she has many pipes in her crawl space and she is worried about them freezing. To ease her worries, we installed SilverGlo, a set of waterproof foam panels. It is used on the walls of your crawl space in order to insulate it. SilverGlo blocks all moisture and is made of inorganic material which prevents mold, rot or mildew from forming. Overall, it will keep Dara’s crawl space dry and insulated which will prevent any of her pipes from freezing.
During our cold Michigan winters, Dara is always concerned about the pipes in her crawl space freezing. To prevent Dara’s pipes from freezing and to give her peace of mind, our team insulated her rim joists. Small cracks and seams can exist around rim joists, but after insulating them all of those cracks are sealed off. Now airflow is restricted keeping outside air out and inside air in. Therefore, Dara’s crawl space will be insulated and she won’t need to worry about her pipes freezing.
