Paul W. is the owner of this newly built home in Chaseburg, WI. During the construction, the contractor realized that Paul needed to have a waterproofing system installed because of the amount of water that was entering the home through the basement. With the contractor’s advice, Paul contacted us to get a free estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Mac Cole, to the home to evaluate the situation and provide Paul with a solution. Paul understood the consequences he would face if he chose not to have a waterproofing system installed, and he like the thorough plan that Mac developed, so he scheduled an installation.
Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his crew installed a full perimeter of our WaterGuard drainage system, which led to the TripleSafe sump pump. Once the water drains to the sump pump, it is then pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home. They also installed a perimeter of our CleanSpace vapor barrier to reduce moisture and humidity. CleanSpace also makes the basement a more energy efficient space. After we finished the installation of our waterproofing system, the construction team poured concrete and continued the development of the home.

Heather C. in Sparta, WI had water leaking into her basement through her foundation wall causing damage to her home. She contacted American Waterworks, and one of our waterproofing experts, Rick Weber, designed a thorough solution. Heather was impressed with the solution, so she chose to move forward with the installation.
Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his production team started the installation by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement floor to create a trench for the WaterGuard. After installing the SuperSump sump pump and laying 182 feet of the WaterGuard, they replaced the concrete and installed the Foamax wall panels. Foamax is an advanced polyisocyanurate foam insulation panel designed to prevent condensation and make the basement a more comfortable space. Water is now properly expelled from the home and the walls have been permanently stabilized. Her basement is now a stable, dry and clean space.
Sue A. in Sparta, WI was tired of dealing with a wet basement after heavy rains and snow melt. She had an older basement, and the water was seeping in through the small cracks where the wall meets the floor. She contacted American Waterworks for a FREE estimate, and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Rick Weber, to meet with her and evaluate the situation. Rick designed a thorough plan and assured Sue that our waterproofing system would provide a permanent solution.
Our Foreman, Dylon VanCanneyt, and his production crew were able to successfully waterproof Bryan’s basement by first removing the concrete around the inside perimeter of the basement. Next, they installed 78 feet of our WaterGuard drainage System and our SuperSump sump pump. Then, they installed two feet of our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls, filled the gaps with rock, and replaced the concrete. Water is now guided through the WaterGuard, to the SuperSump, and is quietly, and efficiently discharged from the home. Sue was thrilled with the results, and glad she chose to invest in a permanent solution for her home.
Janice B. in Necedah, WI noticed a foul smell and rust-colored water building up in her yard and seeping into her basement, clogging the sump pump. She contacted American Waterworks, and we sent our Design Specialist, Rick Weber, to her home to evaluate her situation. He discovered that Janice had a buildup of iron ochre in her old sump pump and outside her home. He explained that it is not a known health hazard but can quickly clog a French drain system and cause damage to pipes and plumbing systems. He presented her with our WaterGuard IOS Perimeter Drain Channel, which is ideal for managing this problem. Janice was impressed with Rick’s presentation and our products and moved forward with an installation date.
Our production crew replaced her old sump pump and installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe is backed by three layers of protection and can easily take on the challenge of iron ochre. Our sump pumps are able to pump out ½" solids without clogging. Janice was impressed with the installation and is happy knowing her sump pump is free of iron ochre infiltration.
A homeowner in Genoa, WI, noticed an odd smell throughout their home. Unsure where the source of the smell was coming from, the homeowner began investigating their home. The homeowner discovered the smell was coming from their crawl space. Worried this could mean larger issues, the homeowner knew they needed professional assistance. The homeowner looked into "crawl space repair near Genoa, WI" and several companies populated. However, only one company stood above the rest, American Waterworks. After reading about our crawl space repair and encapsulation services, the homeowner knew we were the best option for them. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of Trevor, one of our Design Specialists. Trevor arrived at the home and started his detailed investigation of the crawl space. During his investigation, Trevor confirmed the smell was coming from the crawl space and it needed to be encapsulated. Trevor presented his solution to the homeowner and they agreed. The plans were sent to our office for approval, then to our Foreman, Diego, and his crew. Once they received the plans, Diego and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, the crew began by laying CleanSpace on the crawl space floor and walls. Next, the crew attached Foamax to the crawl space walls. After the Foamax was secured, the crew installed spray foam near the top of the walls. Diego and his crew successfully encapsulated the entire crawl space, so they cleaned up their materials and left the home. American Waterworks is happy to encapsulate their customer's crawl spaces.
