This customer contacted DBS after noticing that water comes into their basement every spring thaw and that each time it happens, their is a lot of water but no visible cracks.  When our Design Specialist went out to the property, he recommended installing a WaterGuard® along the walls of the basement to help with water flow. WaterGuard does this by effectively capturing wall and floor seepage before it reaches your basement floor. The water enters the system via inlet holes and flows through the drainage pipe to your sump pump.

Once we were able to get out to the property, the installation of the WaterGuard® went smoothly and the customer was happy with the results!

A homeowner near Motley, MN reached out to DBS looking for help with their wet basement. One of our Design Specialists went to the home to run a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowner. Foreman Glen Olcott led the installation of this project with help from a team. The team placed the drain lines within trenches along the perimeter of the basement walls. These drains collect the water and transport it to the sump pump where it is removed from the home. New concrete is then installed on top that creates a flush finish once dry.

In the photos below we’ve used spray foam insulation to make sure the homes had a strong, warm insulation layer, then we added a final layer of insulation on our Dr. Energy Saver side, DBS also had to work to patch the siding and reinstall siding on the roof of the home after this installation process to bring the home back to its original state.
