This 1960's home in Duluth, MN was in the process of being sold to new owners. Because there were some cracks in the basement walls, the owners agreed to repair the foundation before selling. With the help of their real estate agent, they contacted DBS for a free, no-obligation estimate.

Zach Royer and his crew excavated the exterior of the home in order to perform a lift procedure. Our team installed 6 push piers total at the base of the home on the exterior of the home. These galvanized steel piers were then hydraulicaly driven into the ground to weight-bearing soils. The weight of the home was then transferred to the competent soil.

This family home in Deerwood, MN was built in the early 1900s so it was no surprise that water started leaking into the basement. The owners were hoping to partially finish the basement but knew they had to take care of the water issues so they contacted DBS in search of a permanent solution. 

DBS Design Specialist Rich Johnsen is our expert in basement waterproofing and visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate. DBS Foreman Nick Burley and his crew installed 7 PowerBrace™ wall support beams to stabilize the walls and prevent any further movement. These galvanized steel I-beams will be tightened over time with the goal of restoring the wall to its original position.
