Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo visited the property to conduct a free no-obligation estimate of the issue. Henrik made notes of water damage in the basement including chipping paint, efflorescence (a white chalky powder that forms when water evaporates), and mold growth. He addressed the owner's concerns and advised them that DBS's waterproofing solutions would provide an effective solution.

A DBS Foreman led the installation for this project. With the help of their crew, they installed WaterGuard® Drain System that would help to direct water to a TripleSafe™ sump pump that would push water out and away from the home. The crew also installed CleanSpace®, a poly material that is applied over walls to guide water behind the fabric down into WaterGuard® drains. Installation of this project was successful and the home has been effectively waterproofed.

A Foreman from DBS installed the previous projects and work that had been completed includes installing foundational repair products including 3 SmartJack® supports, and 13 PowerBrace™ I-beams, as well as the installation of waterproofing technology called WaterGuard® Drainage System and TripleSafe™ sump pump. CleanSpace® was also installed on the surface of the basement walls in order to direct water into the WaterGuard® drains. The foundation repairs that had been done were to correct wall cracking and sagging floors, and the waterproofing installations were made to protect the basement from water damage.

The new owner of this house has peace of mind knowing that their basement walls have been permanently stabilized, and can relax comfortably knowing that the basement waterproofing system will keep the house dry.
