These homeowners wanted to refinish their basement, but their bowing basement walls were stopping them. The problem was that they had top shear on one of their foundation walls and hydrostatic pressure from the soil on the outside of the walls. Our team fixed these problems by installing PowerBraces on the "problem" wall. We decided to use PowerBrace because the walls were poured and the deflection wasn't to the point of requiring another fix. Now the wall is stable and these homeowners can start their refinishing project!b
These homeowners flipped their older home and they were excited to start their future in this home. Shortly after they moved in, they began to notice that the garage floor was cracking and that their bathroom and bedroom had started to show wall cracks. They were very concerned about this problem, so they decided to give us a call to see what was happening in their forever home.
System Design Specialist Tom Studer drove out to this home to see what was causing the garage floor and the walls to crack. Tom found that the garage was falling down because there were large voids underneath the footing. He also found differential settlement happening along the garage wall that was affecting the other rooms with wall cracks as well. He discussed these problems with the homeowners, and how we could fix them, and the homeowners couldn't have been more eager to have these problems fixed. On of our installation crews went to the home and used a Push Pier System to lift and stabilize the garage from any further damage.
The homeowners were so excited to have their problem fixed, and they are relieved that their forever home is stable. Check out the push pier system in action, lifting and stabilizing the home and the garage!

To begin the project in Atlantic IA, System Design Specialist Jeff McCormick completed a thorough inspection to develop the most permanent solution to benefit the home the most. Dennis and Sherry opted to have our SmartJack Support System installed to stabilize the floors above. This is a permanent solution and can be adjusted, if needed, over time. It attaches to the already existing beams and is solidified in the ground to give it the lasting support it needs.
As always, Dennis and Sherry were impressed with our dedication to quality and customer convenience. Thrasher has continued to repair any issues or changes in their house over time. We’re fortunate to be able to build lifelong relationships through the variety of solutions we offer.
This homeowner in Basehor, KS wanted to finish the basement but needed to do something about the walls before they could do so. The walls were cracking, and water was getting through the cracks causing other issues in the basement. Unsure about what to do next, they decided to call Thrasher and see if we could help them fix this.
After looking at the wall and foundation of the home our team decided the best solution for their problem was the use EverBrace wall restoration system. This system uses steel corrugated panels and beams that work together to stabilize the foundation walls by adding unbeatable support. EverBrace transfers the load from the failing wall to the new durable support panels.
Our customers can now feel safe in their basement and use the space however they please.
Nicole and Gabae recently bought a 75-year-old dairy barn that had been converted into a home. Unfortunately, this home had a bowing wall and a few water issues, common issues found in older homes. With plans to stay for the long-term, they knew they had to get it fixed sooner rather than later.
They had contacted another company, but their solution was invasive and involved removing the front porch altogether. Then they called Thrasher. We sent out System Design Specialist Eric Wulf to take a look at the problem.
Eric found that the wall was pushed inward 5 1/8 inches, the door above the area was sticking, and muddy water was entering the basement. He concluded that this was due to water weight, expanding soil, and the freeze/thaw cycle that caused the top of that foundation wall to move inward over a period of time.
Eric decided the best course of action was to use our EverBrace Wall Restoration System. EverBrace is used for extreme wall failure. It's less disruptive than total foundation replacement, but still just as effective. It uses steel corrugated panels and beams to strengthen and stabilize foundation walls.
Our install team then got on-site and started to get to work. They installed galvanized steel panels with structural I-beams bracing them. They then sprayed structural foam between the steel panels and the original foundation wall to fill any voids between the new wall and the original wall.
Nicole and Gabae were so happy with the results and so happy they didn't have to compromise their front porch for a fixed foundation.
