This homeowner had foundation piers installed around the entire home by another company just last year. In the span of nine months, the home settled another two inches. The homeowner decided he wanted a permanent fix, so he gave us a call. We used push piers to permanently lift and stabilize the foundation and we used PolyLevel to fill voids, lift, and stabilize the foundation slab. Lastly, we used SmartJacks to permanently stabilize the home's floor support.
Ruby was tired of worrying about her crawlspace. She had very high humidity and her home was feeling the effects of the moisture. She was also worried about the high moisture content in her main living space.
But her biggest concern was mold growing in her crawlspace and creating bigger problems in the future. She decided this was the time to do something about it. She called Thrasher and we sent out System Design Specialist, Jimmy Hungerford, to inspect.
Upon inspection, Jimmy found that Ruby's crawl space had a very high moisture content and it was causing her entire home to have extreme water moisture in the air and the building materials. On top of that, her sump system was failing and needed to be replaced.
To fix and reduce the moisture in the air, we buried her downspouts away from the home, added a new sump system, and encapsulated her crawl space to protect the home from additional damages. We also added a Sedona Air Filtration system.
Ruby was happy with the results and was excited to use us for other home repair projects in the future!
This deteriorating foundation wall was about to collapse due to soil pressure on the other side. But our dedicated Kansas City crew, along with our EverBrace Wall System, not only rescued the wall but saved the entire home. EverBrace, our go-to alternative for foundation replacement, features corrugated steel panels and beams that stabilize foundation walls. The gaps behind the steel are filled with sturdy rigid foam, transferring the load from the deteriorating walls to the new support panels.
This customer is living in his forever home and wants to take care of small problems before they turn into big ones. His home has a walkout basement and the two perpendicular retaining walls that are attached to the foundation are starting to show signs of failure. This is happening because of the years of absorbing hydrostatic pressure. Our crew installed anchors on both retaining walls to stop the movement and try and push them back into their original position.
Longtime homeowner Marjorie A. was looking to pass her home on to her grandson. She wanted to make sure that the home’s foundation was in good condition and wouldn’t cause any problems for her grandson, she decided to give Thrasher a call.
We sent System Design Specialist Jon Young out to Marjorie’s home. He found that her foundation walls were bowing in. The crew installed Geo-Lock wall anchors to stabilize the walls. The anchors will permanently stabilize her basement walls, offering the best opportunity to straighten out the walls. Marjorie was extremely happy with the end result and was given a peace of mind.
