Before venturing into this Malden, MA crawl space, the chilly drafts wafting through the floorboards were all too common for the homeowner. As you can see in the before photo, the exposed, uninsulated space right under a newly-built deck called for attention. Our solution? Just look at the after photo – we wrapped the area in CleanSpace and insulated it with SilverGlow, transforming a drafty underdeck into a cozy, energy-efficient crawl space. The owner of a rental property in North Reading, Massachusetts, had a tenant moving out of their property. The building had a moisture problem in the crawlspace that the owner wanted to address. The owner decided to call EFS for a free inspection of their crawlspace. Our Design Specialist Tom inspected the crawlspace and recommended using CleanSpace to encapsulate it and prevent moisture from building up. Our team arrived at the building and installed 1200 sqft of CleanSpace into the crawlspace. 

This 3-season porch area had a crawlspace beneath it. The crawlspace was full of moisture and extremely damp, causing mold to form and leading to rot damage to the floor joists. Our EFS team replaced some damaged joists, supported the new floor system with SmartJacks, and encapsulated the crawlspace with CleanSpace to protect the home against further rot or mold.
