We recieved a phone call from a homewoner who was concerned with a leaky window in their basement. We sealed the basement window off so it no longer leaks, resulting in a dry basement and a happy homeowner. These pictures were taken from the outside of the home.
For this project, you can see what the crawl space looked like before we came in to do the job, and what it looked like after. We installed SilverGlo, drainage matting under the CleanSpace liner and spray foam insulation. Transformations like this is why we, at Century Masonry and Waterproofing wake up every morning. We want to be able to change the way you think about your crawl space. No more dirty, wet, energy inefficient crawl spaces. You can see how we were able to turn this space into a perfectionists' dream crawl space.
This project was a concern because of insects (cave crickets), water, humidity, mold, cold and unsightliness.
We addressed all of these issues. In the basement side of this building we installed a new SuperSump with an UltraSump and new discharge line. We also created an opening between the basement and crawl space to allow airflow for the SaniDry XP.
On the crawl space side, we had a new door installed, closed up the existing window and a couple of miscellaneous openings. It's hard to see but several joists required "sistering " due to moisture. We also installed 2 new lally columns with footings. All of this was the encapsulated with CleanSpace. The entire rim joist was spray foam insulated.
This homeowner insisted on a concrete floor in the crawl space. We poured a new footing/floor and built off of it. This job had SilverGlo installed on the walls and CleanSpace under the slab and tied into the SilverGlo. We installed a few yards of gravel under the liner to create the proper grade.
