The homeowners in this Bridgeport, CT home had an old metal rotting window. The window was not only an eyesore but it also allowed water to come in and had begun to damage the wall and floors. We installed one of our EverLast™ Windows to give it a facelift that will never rot, rust, decay, or need any paint. The purpose of a basement window is to bring natural light into the basement and if the windows are rotted and covered with debris then they are not doing their job.
With a clean, leak-proof window in their basement that lets in more light, the homeowner could not be any happier.
A homeowner in Southbury, CT had sagging floors in their home that were easily visible in their crawlspace. They decided to call us at Connecticut Basement Systems to have us find a solution to their problem. After scheduling an appointment with us, one of our Sales Consultants, Gus Stozinic, went out to the home to assess the issues and provide a proper solution.
Then it would soon be time for one of our Foremen, Sergio Alves, and Jacob Scott to install the job. They installed SmartJacks throughout the crawlspace. They installed a supplemental beam as well. These SmartJacks were then tightened and will strengthen the floor. They will no longer have a sagging floor and these SmartJacks will keep the floors stabilized. Now the homeowner no longer has to worry about their uneven floors.
A homeowner in Southbury was having water seep into their basement and needed a solution from us at Connecticut Basement Systems. One of our Sales Consultants, Josh Kroop, went out to the home to assess the issues and write up a proposal for a waterproofing system.
Once a job was scheduled, it would be time for one of our Foremen, Delfino Mones, and his crew to install this job. They installed our WaterGuard drain system below the floor around the perimeter of the basement to collect any water coming in from the walls or floors. Then they installed our SuperSump Plus sump pump to take the collected water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance. Now this basement will stay dry!
A homeowner in Southbury, CT expressed interest in waterproofing his basement. Although an old sump pump system resided in the corner, he knew he needed an upgrade after noticing water seeping in. Trusting the experts, he reached out to Connecticut Basement Systems and made contact with Sales Representative Matt Abbassi.
During the call, Abbassi offered the homeowner a free in-home consultation. On the day of the consultation, Abbassi measured portions of the basement, proposing an adequate solution to mitigate unwanted water seepage.
Once the proposal was approved, Foreman Allan Guglielmoni and his team arrived on-site to begin the installation process. Following Abbassi's proposal Guglielmoni filled in the location of the old sump pump with cement and created a new sump pit in a more fitting location. Soon after, our TripleSafe sump pump system with three levels of protection against basement moisture was installed in the new location. Additionally, our WaterGuard perimeter drain was installed along the perimeter, offering additional protection against unwanted basement moisture. Ultimately, the homeowner was thrilled with the results and looks forward to having a dry basement!
The owners of this home were looking for a way to make their basement look better. However, the humid conditions made the traditional choice, drywall, a bad choice. We installed Brightwall panels in their home instead, as they are 100% waterproof and washable. The panels created a vapor barrier on the basement walls to block out water vapor and humidity. Its bright white color maximized the available light in this basement, creating a cheerful, clean-looking space.
