They first air sealed the entire home with rim joist insulation. This insulation is important to keeping the basement warm, and it is an affordable option that is high coverage. They then installed ThermalDry floor tiles in sandstone gray.  A homeowner in Middlebury was getting water seepage in their basement. They reached out to us at Connecticut Basement Systems to find a solution. We sent out one of our Sales Consultants, Mick Foster, to the home to assess the problems and propose a full perimeter waterproofing solution. 

Soon after it would be time for one of our Foremen, Al Guglielmoni, and his team to install this entire project. They installed our WaterGuard drainage system below the floor, around the entire perimeter of the basement to capture water coming in from the walls or floors. Then they installed our TripleSafe sump pump to take that collected water and pump it out of the home at a safe distance.
