The wall in this basement had developed a substantial horizontal crack, caused by bowing over time. Fortunately, because the top and bottom sections of the wall remain stable, our PowerBrace system can be employed to correct the problem. PowerBraces, specially designed to spread the wall’s weight across the basement floor and ceiling joists, prevent further damage to these areas. These braces are straightforward to install, typically taking just one day, and can gradually restore the wall to its original position. Additionally, their flexible design allows them to be fitted around obstacles, such as a fuse box.
The great thing about piers are that they are completely concealed once the job is done. In this case, one could argue that the area actually looks better after we installed piers through the concrete. We pride ourselves on cleanliness and treating others properties like our own. The piers we installed will stop the patio from settling any further.
The main beam in the ceiling of this basement had become warped from excessive use. To add extra support and to stop the floors from sagging from the floor above, we installed SmartJacks and a supplemental beam across the main beam. The result was a success.
For this foundation repair in Dayton, Ohio, our crew had to maneuver some SmartJacks around a gas line and around other obstructions as well. Our team is well equipped to custom fit a plan through or around whatever obstacles may be in the way. The customer was happy in the end that their homes foundation had been repaired for good.
This homeowner was having problems with the chimney pulling away from the home. This is commonly seen because chimneys sometimes have their own foundation and are very heavy, making them sink into the ground. We installed helical piers at the base of the chimney, and raised the base back to where it was.
