Crawl Space Encapsulation in Wharton, Ohio.
Homeowners in Shelby, OH called Mid-State Basement Systems because their crawlspace was moldy, dirty, and the floor above it was sagging. One of our inspectors went out and proposed repairs and our crew followed through with them! We removed the old insulation and installed SmartJacks to hoist the floor back up and a CleanSpace vapor barrier to prevent further mold, moisture, pests, and more from entering the space.
A homeowner in New Concord, OH wanted to finish her basement but needed storage space to move everything from the current basement into. She had a crawl space, but it was dirty and humid, so she didn't want to put anything in there as-is. So, she called Mid-State Basement Systems to encapsulate and insulate the crawl space.
We installed a CleanSpace vapor barrier (a 20-millimeter thick plastic barrier similar to a pool liner) and SilverGlo insulation.
Now, the crawl space is moisture-free and well-insulated. The homeowner can move all of the things that need to be stored from the basement into the crawl space, and she can start on her basement finishing project!
Barbara M. in Lucasville, OH has a moldy, dirty crawl space that water had started leaking into. She called Mid-State Basement Systems to see how we could permanently repair these problems. We sent out one of our certified inspectors to inspect the area and provide a free quote for a permanent repair.
She agreed to go with our company and our crew, led by foremen Byron Salinas, set to work! They encapsulated the crawl space with a CleanSpace vapor barrier and installed SmartPipe and a SmartSump to take the water out of the crawl space and away from the home. They also used mold spray to eradicate the mold from the area before encapsulating and spraying foam in the floor joists to provide extra insulation.
The homeowner is happy with the results and now has a clean and dry crawl space. It is more energy-efficient and can be used as a storage space!
A CleanSpace barrier blocks moisture from evaporating into the crawl space, keeping it dry and reducing heat loss.
