Problem: These Windsor homeowners were plagued with problems related to their leaky basement: damage to stored items, damp and cold basement, and musty smells throughout their entire home.
Solution: After a thorough inspection, we created a plan to waterproof the leaky walls. To help improve the comfort of the basement and the entire home, we installed ThermalDry®️ Basement Radiant Wall Barrier, which reflects back heat, improving heating and cooling efficiency. We also installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System with a battery backup, which will keep the basement dry even during the heaviest of rains and in the event of a power failure.
This basement is now dry, healthy, comfortable, efficient and protected!
Problem:
It was immediately evident when our inspector entered this home that there was a serious water and humidity problem. The basement leaked for decades and the excessive water in the space increased the humidity level in the entire home, making it smell terrible. Even the items stored in the basement had a funky smell.
The bad odor is not just a smell… it’s actually mould and mildew allergens that the entire family was breathing in, even though they all avoided the basement!
Solution:
We installed an interior waterproofing system which consists of an in-floor drain, which moves any leaking water into the sump pump. A radiant wall barrier provides an extra layer of protection against water intrusion and helps to keep the space comfortable as it reflects heat back into the basement.
Our waterproofing system helps to regulate the excessive humidity caused by water leaks and thereby reduces funky smells and allergens in homes.

These Windsor, Ontario homeowners had a leaky basement which was not only affecting the health of the home, but also the enjoyment of their extra living space.
They required a permanent solution to prevent future damage to the home and its contents.
This home serves as an excellent example of how our products work together for a permanent solution for a wet basement.
These homeowners chose the TripleSafe™ Sump Pump System. This powerful system provides three levels of protection with 2 high-performing pumps and a battery backup pump.
Our team installed a Waterguard system on the leaky walls. This system allows water to drain safely into the new sump pump system. Best of all, this product comes with a lifetime transferable warranty.
The wet and mouldy drywall was removed, and we installed Everlast™ Wall Panels. Working with the Waterguard systems, Everlast™ Wall Panels not only look fantastic, they are easy to clean and are inorganic, which will not support the growth of mould or mildew.
We finished off the project by installing the ThermalDry® Basement Floor Systems which are interlocking floor tiles made specifically for basement floors. Each tile is designed to sit on raised plastic pegs, allowing an airspace underneath, and creating a comfortable, warm and dry floor.
If you want to waterproof and finish your basement only once, we’d be pleased if you considered Advanced Basement Systems for the job. We are pleased to offer you a complimentary inspection and estimate. Please call 1-336-283-2338 or click here to submit your information online.
Problem: This home had an older and inefficient sump pump. It wasn’t able to keep up with heavy rains and also had an open lid, which not only allows debris to enter and possibly clog the pump, but also adds extra moisture into the basement air.
Solution: We installed the industry leading TripleSafe Sump Pump System. The powerful pumps will have no problem keeping up, even during times of heavy rainfall. The sealed lid means no debris will interfere with the pumps and the damp air will stay where it should: in the tank.
