The crawlspace of this home had a section dug out to allow for an easy-to-walk space when checking under the home. There was a simple 6 Mil vapor barrier installed to help with water issues. However, this acted as a trench for the water and since the barrier wasn't secured the water just pushed on top of this and brought dirt and debris with it. To stop this issue from persisting we waterproofed this crawlspace with our Cleanspace vapor barrier and added in a TripleSafe sump pump to successfully divert the water away from the home.
Homeowners called us about their crawlspace. It was built on a hillside and water would pool in the lowest spot. They had used wooden planks to help them move through the space as they used it for storage, but were ready for a solution that made this a healthy environment. We did a full encapsulation to make this space a top-notch storage space that will help the homeowners enjoy lower energy bills as well!
These homeowners called asking about encapsulation. They had used other companies and gone the cheap route in the past, but they were ready to find a long term solution to their crawlspace water woes and critter troubles.
This homes crawlspace had been cleared of critters, but a mess of debris was left over. The homeowners wanted to keep critters from coming back and didn't want the debris to leave their air quality low, so they called up John's Waterproofing for a full encapsulation.
John's Waterproofing came to this home in Fall Creek to make it healthy and energy efficient. Our solution for this crawlspace was our CleanSpace encapsulation system. This 20-mil thick vapor barrier significantly outperforms the easy to tear 6-mil liners that are commonly used as vapor barriers. CleanSpace can slow or block harmful gasses such as radon and protects the home from dust and allergens while also waterproofing the crawlspace. It acts as an insulation barrier as well and makes a difference of 10 degrees compared to common vapor barriers.
