This home was experiencing some pooling in the crawlspace and it had really damaged the wooden posts. To ensure that the homes intergrity would last, our crew went out and safely removed the rotting posts and installed SmartJacks to support the home before we waterproofed the space.
This homeowner called us up, their crawlspace had fiberglass insulation and a 6 Mil vapor barrier. There was no water or mold or rot visible, but there was an obvious smell. Upon inspection we found mold spores in the wood that was being hidden by the fiberglass insulation. This insulation was holding any condensation up against the homes wooden foundation causing mold to take hold. We removed this, applied Mold X2 as needed and encapsulated the space to provide proper insulation and protection for this home.
This crawlspace kept having to be repaired. The homeowners were tired of needing to reattach the old fiberglass and replace the 6 Mil vapor barrier. They were looking for a long term solution and decided it was time to encapsulate the crawlspace! They are amazing with how clean and bright the area is and look forward to not having to stress over this area again.
We came out to this home with clear, wet, moldy vapor barrier and replaced it with a 6 mil thick vapor barrier and a Supersump sump pump to help keep this crawlspace more dry.
This homes crawlspace was in disarray. To insulate it properly and protect it in the long run, we installed our Crawlspace Encapsulation system.
