This homeowner was in search of a long-term solution. They had been replacing their simple 6 mil vapor barrier every few years and reattaching their old fiberglass when it fell or when it got too nasty. This was when they heard about encapsulation and were ready to see if it could protect their home. They reached out to John's Waterproofing and scheduled their free inspection, eager to learn.
As this home began the remodeling process the crawlspace needed to be addressed. The old debris was removed and a full encapsulation was installed.
This homes crawl space had accumulated a lot of dust and pieces of old fiberglass over the years. To protect the homes crawl space against water issues, the homeowners were looking to get a full encapsulation. We installed a drain system, sump pump, TerraBlock insulation, a CleanSpace vapor barrier, and Spray Foam along the walls. This space is now ready to remain dry, stable, and healthy over the years.
This customer had been living in her new home for a few months before they found a door in one of the closets in their finished basement. When she opened the door she had found an unfinished portion of the basement that had visible standing water and damaged vapor barrier. Our crew installed a drainage system and encapsulated the unfinished space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier that is 20 mils thick and is tear resistant. She now had a dry space and even more storage without a worry of things getting ruined.
