Mrs. St-Amand contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Qc, because her floor had collapsed in a few places. So she felt that her floor was soft and there was a smell of damp and mold upstairs.
The problem was the earthen crawl space. There was lots of humidity and the wooden beams and pillars were rotting due to the humidity.
To fix this problem, our team encapsulated the crawl space with a drainage membrane and a vapor barrier on the earth floor. This is to lock in moisture coming from the ground. We installed beams and our galvanized steel SmartJack pillars to reinforce the structure of the house and prevent the floor from sagging. Finally, we have installed our Sanidry Sedona dehumidifier to control the humidity level along with a SmartSump sump pump system.
We have received a call from a client in Saint-Amable informing us that she is having problems when it rains a lot or when the snow melts, since the water level rises and humidifies the surrounding.
She actually wanted to put a camera in the floor drain that is next to the hole, because she has already placed a pump in the hole to drain the water into the floor drain, but the floor drain was not working properly when there was any flow. So she wanted to know if the floor drain is clogged.
Our SuperSump sump pump system is the solution! This very powerful pump has been installed to intercept water where it seeps. Thus, once the hole is blocked and the pump installed, the space in the basement is protected against infiltration because this pump has been connected to the floor drain.
We are happy to have been able to solve the problem of our client!
Water lying behind basement walls and foundation blocks may not break them down, but it will find and fill each invisible opening in the surface of the concrete it touches.
This can create a series of little flowing streams that will ultimately seep on the other side and this is bad for your house.
The best thing to do it to waterproof your basement, and get the most experienced company to do so.
Here in Otterburn Park, we have completely waterproofed the place and installed the best products available in Quebec!
Our installed interior drainage system, The ‘WaterGuard’ will capture all water coming from the walls and joints; As for our SuperSump pump which is linked to our interior drain, is able to pump a huge amount of water per hour, it has also an airtight lid on it to prevent water from evaporating out of the sump hole, and an IceGuard outlet will prevent freezing of water coming out from the pipes during wintertime.
Problem
Our client Sebastien, living in Otterburn Park, contacted us following problems with his sump pump. In fact, he noticed that it was inadequate given the amount of water that consistently exceeds its capacity. As a result, water escapes and damages the basement floor. Our specialist Hugo visited for a detailed inspection. Indeed, It was necessary to take action as soon as possible to prevent additional damage that could affect the house's foundation.
Solution
The solution was to install our TripleSafe sump pump system, which will ensure the safety of the basement. This system includes two highly efficient Zoeller pumps, with a third backup pump that operates on battery power. This will allow the pump to continue functioning even in the event of an unexpected power outage. Additionally, the AlarmWatch system can provide advance warning to prevent any potential disasters.
With TripleSafe, a larger quantity of water is now directed outside. Consequently, our client is no longer concerned about issues in his basement.
Mr. Sam noticed that there is too much water sitting around his basement that was pushing in and seeping through the floor joists and porous concrete.
In order to solve this problem in Otterburn Park, our specialist Petru recommended the installation of the WaterGuard drain that we install it internally, which is more efficient than the installation of an external French drain.
And a SuperSump pump system, that collects water and flushes it away from his house!
