In the basement of our house, which is a construction dating from 1954, there is a hole about 30 cm in diameter. There is always water in the hole. When it rains a lot or when the snow melts, the water level rises and humidifies the surroundings, but nothing more. This hole was there when we bought the house 16 years ago. We would like to know what it is for and what we need to do. We would also like to put a camera in the floor drain that is next to the hole because we have already placed a pump in the hole to drain the water into the floor drain, but the floor drain was not working properly when there was any flow. We would like to know if the floor drain is clogged. "
No problem! The SuperSump sump pump system is the solution. This very powerful pump has been installed to intercept water where it seeps. Thus, once the hole is blocked and the pump installed, the space in the basement is protected against infiltration because this pump has been connected to the floor drain. We are happy to have been able to solve the problem of our client!
Our client’s basement was not insulated properly and the wood was exposed to the air causing vapor and seepage problems.
You can now compare this picture to the previous one. The wall and floor are totally insulated and the wall is now dry and lighted.
Mr. Provencher had an old sump pump system that did not work very well. He contacted Systèmes Sous-sol Québec because we offer several efficient and reliable sump pump systems.
The solution was to install our most efficient and reliable sump pump system: TripleSafe. It offers 3 levels of protection for your basement. It has 3 pumps; a ⅓ HP cast iron Zoeller main pump, a powerful ½ HP cast iron secondary Zoeller pump and a battery back-up pump in the event of a power failure.
With this system, Mr. Provencher now has peace of mind.
We have waterproofed our client’s basement in Mont-Saint-Hilaire by installing an interior drain on the base of the foundation.
We have transformed this crawl space in Dunham, Qc into a very beautiful area.
The soil was very wet, mold and insects were growing.
So we installed our CleanSpace membrane to insulate the house from the ground and our company’s SmartDrain that intercepts water infiltration caused by plumbing leaks.
Installing a vapor barrier will entirely seal and encapsulate your crawl space. This prevents moisture from entering the space, therefore stopping mold growth, and will keep out pests as well.
