Brent B. recently bought his dream lake house in Chapin, SC. His new home allows him to have friends and family come over and enjoy the lake as well as the pool. Brent always loves having people over and being the life of the party. The crawl space under his home came equipped with a restroom to be used by people down by the water. The crawl space, however, was not encapsulated so there was quite a bit of moisture in the restroom. Brent wanted to find some way to prevent this from happening to make it a nice space for his family and guests to use. He searched the internet for a solution and found Cantey Foundation Specialists. System Design Specialist, Jason Hugg came out to inspect the crawl space. and told Brent about Cantey's CleanSpace system and how it would fix the moisture problem. The CleanSpace would create a barrier between the crawl space and ground that would prevent moisture from damaging the crawl space. This would give Brent a much cleaner nicer space for his family to use. Production Team Leader Trey Dukes, Production Team Member Estevan Lopez, and Production Team Member Austin Boan came out and effectively installed the CleanSpace system. Brent and his family are now very happy using their new crawl space while they entertain guests.
This crawlspace needed a Clean space installation to protect the foundation walls, pillars and joists from becoming deteriorated from the mold and humidity on the horse farm. Being built off of a steep hill, there was a lot of water run off that would get in the crawlspace, which is a big problem in the long run for any foundation. Along with It getting in the crawlspace, the owner had trouble with flooding and pooling water around the farm, which worried her even more because it was eventually going to be a problem. She told us that she didn't have time to worry about the crawlspace when her farmland was in the condition it was. So after calling Cantey, we assured her that we would take care of it and put her mind at ease.
Irmo crawlspace gets rid of it's moisture problem with a cleanspace vapor barrier.
Nancy G. has owned her home with her husband in Irmo, SC since her children were small. Now that all the kids have grown up, she and her husband have worked on many projects together. No kids meant they had more time to do the different improvements they had always wanted to their home. Nancy had always heard of encapsulations for crawl spaces and thought it was a great idea. She and her husband already used their crawl space for some storage but this would allow them to utilize the whole space. Nancy went online and search crawl space encapsulations to see what information was out there. She found Cantey Foundation Specialists website and read up on how their encapsulation worked. Cantey offered free inspections and estimates so Nancy called and scheduled an appointment. System Design Specialist Jamie Beresford arrived and after introducing himself, he got to work. Jamie sat down with Nancy and her husband after the inspection and gave them some additional information about Cantey's CleanSpace system. The CleanSpace system starts with a liner being installed around the walls and piers. It is then laid across the floor of the crawl space and then secured at the top using spray foam adhesive. This creates a barrier that keeps all of the moisture and pests out. This would make a perfect area for all Nancy and her husband's storage needs. They scheduled an installation that day and two weeks later the crew arrived. Production Crew Leader Trey Dukes and Production Crew Member Robert Gardner got to work on the project and successfully installed the CleanSpace system. Nancy and her husband are now taking full advantage of their storage area and they can also tell a difference of how much cleaner the air in their home is.
Debra C. of Columbia, SC could feel her kitchen and dining room floors bend and sag when she walked in her home. Worried that this could be a major problem, she found Cantey Foundation Specialists online and called for a free estimate. Specialist John Adams inspected Debra's crawl space, and he found high levels of humidity and rotting wood beams. Specialist John Adams explained to Debra that the rotting wood beams caused the floors to weaken, and that they needed to be replaced with treated wood. However, he also recommended our CleanSpace encapsulation system to protect the new treated lumber and to prevent any future moisture problems in the crawl space.
